C O M t h e d e N i L a W g r o u p At the time this article was submitted for publication, we were all at home, still practicing social distancing and working remotely. It appears this is the new normal for a while. One thing that has become clear during this crisis is how much we at The Deni Law Group, with a law practice focused on Family, Criminal, and Estate Law, interact with our clients in a meaningful and personal way. It has been a challenge, but we have adapted to remain in touch with clients, new and old. The Courts remain available to those with emergent matters, including Domestic Violence Protective Orders, Extreme Risk Weapons Protective Orders, criminal matters and children in need of services. You can reach us by phone, by email through our website contact form and we are available for a video conference to address the needs of clients. While technology can never replace in-person counsel, we are committed to continuing the same personal care and attention we have always provided. As difficult as this health crisis is on our families, our children, and our small businesses, it is incumbent upon us all to take care of ourselves, follow the directives of the medical professionals, and by doing our part to minimize contact with others, we can help take care of our community. Hunterdon County is a special place to live and work and we look forward to returning to being active in our community as soon as we can. But for now, please know the Courthouse and our Lawyers remain available to you. Based on advice from state and local authorities, our Board and membership concluded that our event, which would normally gather 300-400 families on the bridge in Clinton, would pose a health and safety threat to our community and first responders, even if strict restrictions have been lifted by that date. Although the event and festivities will be cancelled, we are excited to be working on a Virtual Race on our website making donations to The Cancer Support Community and The American Cancer Society possible. Your "VIRTUAL DUCKY" can still support the FREE programs of support for those people affected by cancer and their loved ones and your"VIRTUAL DUCKY" can still fund the vital research necessary to find a cure for cancer. Cancer has not stopped reaching our children and families during this pandemic. Support and funding is more important than ever during this time when people are isolated. No one should face cancer alone! All donations will go directly to the fight against cancer. Our top 10 donors will receive a thank you gift and be announced at 5:00 pm on July 12, 2020. To donate and sponsor a virtual duck go to: www.ClintonSunriseRotary.org and click on "Rubber Ducky Race" beginning June 12! Thank you for your continued generosity and support!
