"Not in achievement, but in endurance of
the human soul, does it show its divine grandeur
and its alliance with the infinite."
~ Edwin Hubbel Chapin

The public health emergency caused by the COVID-19 (coronavirus)
pandemic has rapidly and dramatically altered the way we all live,
work and interact. During this crisis, our emergency management team has
been working daily to coordinate internally and with our county partners to
ensure the health and safety of Township residents and employees.
As I write this, the situation continues to evolve and, since this message
will arrive at the beginning of May, it is difficult to fully anticipate the extent of
restrictions and the exact impact of the virus on our community. What I can
say is that the Township has continued to operate and provide essential services
while limiting interaction between employees and the public for everyone's
safety, and we will continue to do so. Our office staff are working remotely
as much as possible. Our Public Works and Police departments have taken
measures to maintain social distancing while performing their critical duties.
Please consult our website for the latest information on how best to
contact all of our departments. We will get back to you as soon as possible, and
thank you for your patience.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all who have been affected. We
are immensely grateful to our first responders and healthcare providers who
put themselves in harm's way every day, but particularly so now.
Clinton Township is a strong community – together, we will get
through this and emerge stronger.
– Brian Mullay, Council President

Hunterdon Medical Center has received an outpouring support from
the sewing community in Hunterdon County. In an effort to increase
PPE supplies, Hunterdon Medical Center created an employee sewing group
as well. Ten employees at Hunterdon Medical Center have temporarily stopped
their day jobs to focus their efforts on sewing. Between the Hunterdon County
sewing community and the employee sewing group, 940 isolation gowns were
created, 480 caps have been sewn and 3,100 masks have been made. The
employee sewers are currently working on masks for all the children that attend
Hunterdon Healthcare's Bright Tomorrows Child Care Center.
The hospital is currently accepting masks from the community to
be used for patients being discharged from the hospital, home health clients
and employees in non-clinical areas of the hospital. The masks must be made
with 100 percent cotton fabric and can be dropped off at the main entrance of
the hospital. For more information or questions, please email: Karen
Dipaola, Director of Volunteer Services at Kdipaola@hhsnj.org.
