Round Valley School "The more that you read, the more things you will know. S e u s s t h r o u g h o u t t h e w e e k o f M a r c h 2 ! S p i r i t D a y s occurred throughout the week, with students dressing in pink and green for Green Eggs and Ham, wearing their clothes mismatched, backward and inside out for Wacky W e d n e s d a y a n d w e a r i n g pajamas for The Sleep Book. Each classroom selected a picture book and students designed bulletin boards based on the message or content of the book. The bulletin boards were judged on creativity, collaboration, originality, accuracy, and overall a p p e a r a n c e . W i n n i n g classroom bulletin boards included: Mrs. Nugent, Mrs. Hill & Mrs. McRae, Mrs. Mooney, Mrs. Murphy & Mrs. Russomano, Mrs. Topping, Ms. McGregor, Health/PE, Library, Mrs. Forman, Mrs. Rolak & Mrs. Nish, Mr. Friedel, and Mrs. Simonelli's classrooms. Classroom celebrations, facilitated by our PTA, used the theme of the picture DON'T MISS Market Place! Wednesday, April 8 | 6-8 pm at the Clinton Township Middle School Over 50 student businesses to visit! Jewelry, Garden Art, Fashion, Pet Supplies, Home Decor and more! books for the planning of crafts, food, and activities. Guest readers, including former teachers, BOE members, current staff members, and staff family members read to our students. A school-wide trivia contest was held and Dr. Seuss prizes were awarded. We love reading at RVS and had a great time celebrating Dr. Seuss and appreciate all that he did to contribute to literature during his lifetime. Clinton Township Middle School CTMS Relay for Life: Our 10th-Anniversary Relay for Life was held on February 28th, and it was a smashing success! We raised over $32,000, bringing our 10 year total to almost $370,000! Special thanks to Jim Barone as Elvis, who rocked the house throughout the night! TREP$ Student Marketplace: Our third annual TREP$ student entrepreneur program is well underway! Students create products and learn business basics. They sell their items at the marketplace, which will be held at school on Wednesday, April 8th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. This event is open to the community, so come by ready to shop! Spring Sports/Sports Update: After a successful winter season of basketball and cheerleading we are gearing up for our Spring sport offerings. CTMS students will have an opportunity to participate in boys' or girls' lacrosse, baseball, softball and golf clubs. The Clinton Township Education Foundation has funded hundreds of innovative educational programs since 1998. Please feel free to contact us for more ways you can help!
