HCY Keeps Kids Moving, Learning and Exploring all Summer! It's never too
early to start planning for a great summer and now is the time to register for day camps at
the Hunterdon County Y. Summer camps at the Y offer youth, ages 4 – 13, fun and unique
experiences with the opportunity to explore the outdoors, meet new friends, discover new
interests, and create memories that last a lifetime. New and exciting programs will be offered
this summer in addition to traditional camp options. Parents can also save money by taking
advantage of special early pricing.
Attending HCY summer camp is a wonderful opportunity for youth to keep
their minds and bodies active. According to Kristin Heimall, Senior Program Director,
"Every summer I see amazing things happen at our camps. Our talented and dedicated
staff create an incredible experience for our campers. I've seen new friends sit and chat
away as their ice-cream melts, I've seen counselors sit in the grass with a guitar and teach
a group of kids a new song, and I've seen our team of Counselors in Training line up on the
third-base line to give high-fives to a 5 year old who just kicked the ball for the first time.
Camp is all about growing, learning, having fun and making friends."
The Y offers a variety of camp experiences which appeal to a child's unique interests.
Traditional camp is held at both Camp Carr in Clinton Township and South Camp at South
Hunterdon High School in Lambertville. Sports Camp is held at the Deer Path Branch in
Flemington and Pre-Kamp for Preschoolers is held at the Round Valley Branch in Annandale.
There are also many specialty camp options, including Travel Camp, Horseback
Riding, Mad Science, Bricks 4 Kidz (Lego), Dance, Flag Football, Basketball, Soccer, Archery
Tag, and Lacrosse. Options also include Nature Camp, NERF Camp, Super Hero, and
Ninja Warrior Camp. Enrichment Camps include Art Discovery, Wizarding Academy, and
Construction Camp. Specialty Camps are available at Camp Carr, Sports Camp and South
Camp. The Camp Brochure, which provides a complete list of camp options, is available at
www.hcymca.org/camps.
Now is the time to register for the weeks and programs your child is most interested in.
Avoid being put on a waitlist. Early bird rates still apply. May 1st camp fees increase. Parents
may participate in the monthly automatic payment plan, which spread the camp balance over
several months. We also offer sibling discounts when registering early. Registration can be
completed at either the Deer Path Branch, 144 W. Woodschurch Rd. in Flemington or the
Round Valley Branch, 1410 Rt. 22 West in Annandale or online at www.hcymca.
