Has your son or daughter reviewed their incorrect answers? If the answer is no, please consider signing them up for a PSAT review session or test prep course at Next Step Advising, LLC on Main Street in Clinton. As we all set goals in the New Year, help your student stay on track with their goal of performing well on the college 'entrance test' of their choice. My goal is to empower and help students remain stress-free during the process of college and career selection. When you start early, it is possible! Here are a few programs we are offering in January: Thursday, January 2 at 6:30 PM: PSAT Info Night – suitable for students and parents in grades 9-11. FREE but registration is required. Please bring a paper copy of the PSAT scores if you have them or your laptop. Send an email to: info@nextstepadvising. com by noon on January 2 with number of attendees. Saturday, January 18 and two Sundays, January 19 and January 26: Individual PSAT review for 60 minutes – suitable for students in grades 9-11. We will go over incorrect answers – question by question – and put a study plan in place. Cost: $60 each. Spaces are limited. Please sign up at www.NextStepAdvising.com. or call 908.642.8509. Sundays, February 2 – March 8, 1:30 - 3:00 pm: Official SAT Test Prep with Kahn Academy. Please arrive 20 minutes early on February 2. On March 1 we will work through a full- length SAT so plan on staying until 5:00 pm that day! There will be an hour of 'homework' each week. Please bring a computer or tablet. 10 students: two instructors (Nicole Smith, former College Board employee and owner of Next Step Advising, will be supported each week by amazing staff including Theresa Tsakalakos (PhD from UPenn and certified teacher) and Lauri Dunphy (former test prep center director and certified teacher). Geared towards students in 11th grade and suitable for students at all academic levels as they will be working individually. Register by January 26. Cost: $360 for 6 weeks. First-come, first-served.
