No matter what your background or interests, Meals on Wheels in Hunterdon has a volunteer opportunity that's just right for you. Most people want to become Volunteer Drivers delivering meals to their homebound neighbors throughout the county. Site Volunteers help part-time staff package meals and assist drivers as they prepare for their routes. Meals on Wheels is a private, not-for-profit service agency. As such, it is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors. Board members attend meetings and serve on committees to address staff, fundraising and budgetary issues. Volunteer opportunities abound, technical, social, financial, even 'life experience' contributions are needed. Your involvement – from a single project to an ongoing commitment – can really make a difference! We meet from 9:45 AM to 11:30 AM every Thursday morning at the Bunnvale Church, 285 Route 513, Glen Gardner. We are celebrating our 25th anniversary with a program of favorite tunes from the past and present, with some holiday music mixed in.
