It looked like snow, felt like snow and smelled fresh and clean. Sticking with the snow theme students took some time to play with snowballs made of yarn -- they practiced rolling, tossing, carrying and pushing the snowballs around the classroom. What's better than a pancake breakfast on a snowy day? Preschoolers fine- tuned their cooking skills and mixed up homemade snowman pancakes to share. Complete with marshmallows for snowflakes, blueberries for buttons and pretzel sticks for the arms, this creative dish was enjoyed by all. We thank all of the Clinton Township families for joining us on Preschool Information Night. Preschool Interest forms are due on February 19, 2019 and the Preschool Lottery has been moved to Tuesday, March 5, 2019. Patrick McGaheran School Young Artist's Showcase: A selection of art from the Clinton Township schools was on display at the Hunterdon Art Museum last month. Thank you to our art teacher, Mrs. Evans, and our district art teachers for their collaboration with our local art museum and her work to coordinate this wonderful event. It was so exciting to see our students' incredible artwork on display! February was a busy month at the CTSD. Students were involved in a variety of creative events in both music and art. Students are busy rehearsing for the spring production of Mary Poppins. Students enjoyed activities such as PMG Movie Night, the RVS Talent Show and the CTMS school dance sponsored by the PTA. We will have a read-a-thon in school, and have special spirit days to celebrate different Dr. Seuss books all week! This year we will also have a special visitor, as the Cat in the Hat will be visiting our school! Round Valley School Winter Learning at RVS: Winter is a busy time at Round Valley. Students have participated in assembly programs from the Franklin Institute, taken part in learning competitions, such as the Geography Bee and have been participating in our All-School Meetings, focused on our Words of the Month. For January, the Word of the Month was PERSEVERANCE, and for February, students practiced KINDNESS. Awards were presented to students for good character and for the "Bus of the Month." Students are beginning to go on their class trips and we will soon be celebrating Read Across America Week.
