Our Curator has begun work on an upcoming exhibit that will be all about vintage bathing suits! Since the introduction of swimming attire in the 1800s, the bathing suit has always raised more than a few eyebrows. The bathing suit revolution and the Museum's collection will be highlighted in a new exhibit opening this Spring. However, we are looking for more to include! We are appealing to the public for any vintage bathing suits and/or old photos of New Jerseyans in swimming attire! Think of your family vacations at the Jersey Shore or time spent at local pools, ponds and rivers... share what you have with us and maybe it can be used in our exhibit! If you have something you'd be willing to loan us, please contact Curator Elizabeth Cole at: 908.735.4101, extension 103, or email: ecole@theredmill.org. s av e T h e d a T e !
