Any building which is not legally occupied or at which all lawful construction operations or residential occupancy has ceased will be included in the registration process. For further information this Ordinance can be found through the Clinton Township website. Also, please be aware of the conditions under section 165-107 "Storage of recreational vehicles in residential districts." There are a fairly large number of residents with recreational vehicles being stored improperly on their property (e.g. front yard boats, cars, trailers etc.). Violations will be sent if section 165-107 is not being adhered to. Administrative (Non-Police and Court) address: 1225 Route 31 South, Lebanon, NJ 08833 Police and Court: 1370 Route 31 North, Annandale, NJ 08801 W E L C O M E N E W H I R E S AT T H E C L I N T O N T O W N S H I P P O L I C E D E P T The Clinton Township Police Department has hired the following officers over the last six months in order to replace those officers who have resigned or retired: Shane Carle: Officer Carle was hired in January to replace an officer who resigned in the Fall of 2017 to take a position with the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office. Officer Carle is a 2009 graduate of Jackson Memorial High School and a 2013 graduate of Monmouth University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice (with a minor in Political Science). While an undergraduate at Monmouth University, Officer Carle was a two-time Captain of the Monmouth University's 'Track and Field' team and a two-time NCAA Division 1 regional qualifier in the shot- put. Also while an undergraduate at Monmouth, Officer Carle performed an internship with the New Jersey State Police. In 2014, Officer Carle received his Master's degree in Criminal Justice from Monmouth University. He is a December 2017 graduate of the Monmouth County Police Academy. Stephen Hars: Officer Hars was hired in March to replace an officer who retired in early 2018. Officer Hars is a 2009 graduate of Mount Olive High School, where he was a member of the hockey team, the football team, and was also the Class President his junior year. He is a 2013 graduate of Bloomsburg University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. While at Bloomsburg University, Officer Hars performed an internship with the Mount Olive Police Department and was also a research assistant for the Columbia County, Pennsylvania court system. Officer Hars is a 2017 graduate of the Atlantic County Police Academy. He was employed by the Morristown Medical Center and the Middlesex County College police department prior to joining the Clinton Township Police Department. Christopher Ramos: Officer Ramos was hired in August to replace an officer who resigned in April. Officer Ramos is a 2013 graduate of East Brunswick High School where he was the captain of the football team. He is currently attending Rutgers University where he has amassed one hundred (100) credits toward a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. Officer Ramos attended Infantry School in Fort Benning, Georgia and is an active member of the New Jersey State National Guard, where he is a member of the National Military Skills Competition Team. He has also volunteered for the Bro's United Autism Mentorship Program. Officer Ramos is a 2017 graduate of the Atlantic County Police Academy. The following officers were recently hired by the Clinton Township Police Department under the State of New Jersey's 'Special Class III Officer' laws, which provide for the hiring of retired law enforcement officers to work exclusively in the schools. Although they will be employees of the police department, all aspects of their employment will be funded by North Hunterdon High School: Robert Capece: Officer Capece is a 1984 graduate of Belleville High School and a 1988 of the Bergen County Police Academy. He joined the Belleville Police Department in 1988 and retired in good standing in 2015 as a Captain. While a police officer with Belleville, Officer Capece served as a liaison between the police department and the Board of Education and also worked closely with the Community Policing Unit. He received numerous commendations during his career with Belleville, including the Knights of Columbus Shield Award in 1996 and the State of New Jersey General Assembly Citation Award in 1999 and 2000. Vincent Castellani: Officer Castellani is a 1984 graduate of Jonathan Dayton Regional High School and also attended Union County College and the University of Maryland, where he studied Criminal Justice. He is a 1989 graduate of the New Jersey State Police Academy, retiring in good standing as a Lieutenant in 2016. While a Trooper, Officer Castellani served as the head of the Strategic Investigations Unit. Officer Castellani received numerous commendations during his career as a Trooper, including the New Jersey General Assembly Resolution Award in 1998. Richard Floyd: Officer Floyd is a 1986 graduate of Union Catholic Regional High School and a 1993 graduate of Kean University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice. He is a 1990 graduate of the Union County Police Academy. Officer Floyd joined the Hillside Police Department in 1990, retiring in good standing in 2016 as the Acting Chief. Officer Floyd received numerous commendations during his career with the Hillside Police Department, including the Police Officer of the Year Award in 1998. Welcome to Clinton Township, officers!
