This much anticipated event will be held on Monday, May 21 at Beaver Brook Country Club in Annandale. The Good News Home, a Flemington rehabilitation facility, is a spiritually focused residential substance abuse treatment center that accepts women 18 years of age and older regardless of race, religion or ability to pay. The golf classic is one of three major fundraisers held each year. The rain-or-shine event begins with a continental breakfast and a putting contest at 8:00 am. The shotgun start is at 9:00 am. The golf classic is a 'best ball' format. An Italian buffet luncheon and awards ceremony will follow. Ernestine Winfrey, Executive Director of the GNH, will speak during the luncheon. Current residents will also share testimonies about their journey towards recovery. The cost for a single golfer is $175. Our 'Presidential Foursome' costs $1,000 ($250 per person) and includes special gifts. Our 50/50 raffle (always a big hit) will include many wonderful and exciting gifts. Foursome photographs will also be available. The registration deadline is May 11. There are numerous sponsorship opportunities as well. The Good News Home has been home to hundreds of women who have walked through our doors, desperate, lonely and broken. They come from all walks of life as no one is immune to the disease of addiction and the heartache it brings to the afflicted and their family and friends. We are one of the few woman- only residential rehabilitation centers in the state.
