Get rid of things! It really is true. Decluttering gives you more room in your house and your mind! Get rid of all those old clothes and other household items you no longer use, but don't overwhelm yourself. Tackle one room or closet at a time. Once you've created more space, you might be surprised at how much you like the new look. 2. Paint your walls: Winter is the perfect time to paint because the air is drier. Choose an eye-popping color for a certain room and paint it! A freshly painted room smells new and clean. 3. Get a new garage door: Most people don't realize how much heat they lose through an old or inferior garage door. Upgrading to an insulated garage door can greatly improve your home's exterior and can save on heating bills. 4. Replace your flooring: If you want to create a warmer room, rip out that old ugly flooring and replace it with carpet. If you want more wood or tile, there are so many options these days – from cork to bamboo. Do your research though. Avoid cork if you have kids or dogs as it is easily scratched. 5. Rejuvenate your bathroom: Clean up that old caulk and grout and replace with new new if needed. Choose a new color and get painting (remember to use a mildew-resistant paint). Add some new rugs and artwork and you will feel like it is all new. These are just a few of the interior projects you can tackle during winter. Good luck with them all! Once the site is up and running, they just sit back and wait for the business to fall into their lap. If only business websites were really that easy… 1) Plugin and Theme Updates - For WordPress websites, it is very important to keep the software, theme, and plugins up-to-date. Everything should be tested in a dev environment before deploying to your live website. Discovering issues that may break your site while on a testing server will prevent downtime on your live website. 3) The Latest Security Protection - Sign-up to receive alerts when critical security updates are available, so you can immediately implement the updates. Have protocols in place for backup and recovery, just in case something goes wrong. 4) Continuous Testing and Improvement - It's about improving conversions and making more money. Through SEO, A/B testing, persuasion-based tools and analytic tracking, you can make every component of your website more effective.
