Flemington Tennis Club, Inc., 76 Elwood Avenue, Flemington, has memberships available for 2018! The Flemington Tennis Club, a not for profit organization, was created in 1927 by a group of Hunterdon County war veterans to promote tennis in their community. The outdoor club offers three Har-Tru courts, social activities, lessons, an annual tennis tournament, organized groups and walk-on tennis in a friendly environment. THS will be located at the Old Carriage House, 5 James St., Oldwick. Cleaning out the barn, garage or attic? Have quality items that you think are too good to just throw away? If so, then consider donating them to the Society's booth at the Sale and get a tax donation slip. What better way to get rid of stuff and donate at the same time? The Society is seeking clean, quality items, including antiques, furniture, china, dishes, records, toys and more. No books, clothes or electronics older than 3 years old can be accepted. Volunteers will be accepting items at the Oldwick Carriage House on the following dates: Saturday, March 31 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, Saturday, April 7 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, Saturday, April 21 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Clinton Sunrise Rotary Annual F i s h i n g D e r b y w i l l b e h e l d o n Saturday, April 21, rain or shine. DeMott Pond will be stocked with fish for this FREE family event, and bait, bobbers and hooks will be supplied – just bring your own pole. The event is open to youth ages 4 – 16 years old and each participant will receive a raffle ticket for door prize drawings during the event. Registration will be conducted from 8:00 am - 9:00 am; fishing is from 9:00 am – 12 noon. DeMott Pond is located on Route 173 in Clinton, across the street and one block west of the Clinton Holiday Inn. Sponsorship opportunities are available to offset the costs of stocking the pond and prizes for the youth participants. Immaculate Conception Parish will host its 17th Annual Parish Festival from June 20 through June 24, rain or shine. This year's event will once again feature: rides, carnival games, a great assortment of delicious food, nightly entertainment, two nights of fireworks on June 20 and June 23, a tricky tray, 50/50 raffles and much more!
