Children 7 years on up accompanied by an adult may come to the farm on Old Turnpike Road in Oldwick to help with spring cleaning, planting, farm maintenance. Make an impact by supporting the Mane Stream mission to improve the quality of life for individuals with physical, developmental, emotional and medical challenges through a diverse program of equine assisted activities, therapy and educational initiatives. There is a $5 suggested donation per attendee to offset materials for this event. It will take place at the Clinton Community Center, 63 Halstead Street, Clinton from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Available that day, Met Life will be doing photo ID's of children free of charge. Come and browse through tables of hand crafted items, jewelry, photography and more. If interested in being a vendor, call to see if there is space still available. The VNA of Somerset Hills will hold its Spring Rummage Sale May 4-6 at the Far Hills Fairgrounds. Sale hours are Friday and Saturday, 9:30 am - 3:30 pm and Sunday 12:30 pm-3:30 pm, rain or shine. The two acres and 26 departments of merchandise includes: adult and children's clothing, appliances, antiques, pet supplies, electronics, lighting fixtures, cameras, fabric and sewing accessories, holiday decorations, sporting goods, furniture, jewelry, toys, books, decorative items, kitchen goods and more! Credit cards (MasterCard & Visa) are accepted in every department. Proceeds help the VNA, a non-profit healthcare organization, give all families equal access to the agency's full range of home health and hospice care services, regardless of their ability to pay. Funds raised also ensure that all members of our community can benefit from important and innovative programs uncompensated by Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance. The Fairgrounds are located at the intersection of US 202 and Peapack Road in Far Hills. Parking and admission are free. Handicap parking is available. Food is available for purchase (cash only). Looking for a fun way to get out and enjoy the spring weather with your friends and family and help your community? Come support Raritan Valley Habitat Youth, a group of civic-minded local high schools students, as they host the second annual Rainbow Run 5K on Sunday, April 22, at 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at White Oak Park in Branchburg! The Rainbow Run is a 5K walk or run through non-toxic, colored powder at stations throughout the course. It will be all smiles for 3.1 miles with lots of color coming your way!
