You know about "Buy Fresh, Buy Local." Well, did you know that
you can do that each week as a shareholder member of Valley Crest Farm &
Preserve's new CSA (community supported agriculture)? This season we're
offering half and full share memberships of our freshly harvested vegetables
and fruit during our growing season, June through October. By joining a CSA,
you're helping farmers with upfront costs in the spring and also taking on
the risks of farming along with us. Members will pick up their shares each
Saturday at Valley Crest's farm market, and select from an array of freshly
harvested produce from our gardens and orchards. All veggies are grown
naturally without any pesticides or chemical fertilizers, and our apple and
peach orchards use biological controls to manage pests, so everything you
eat from Valley Crest is nutritious and good for you! Enrollment is open

Here Comes the Sun Hike: Saturday, March 17, 10:00 am to
12:00 noon. Days are longer, St. Patrick's Day greets us, and Spring is
just days away! Nothing says Spring better than returning bluebirds. Get
a birdhouse plan and hardware (you provide the wood) and invite these
messengers of Spring to live close by. Round Valley Recreation Area - South
Parking Lot (first right after the toll booth) Please call the Park Office to
pre-register: 908.236.6355. $3 for ages 12 and up, $1 for ages 6 to 11.

MOMS Club of North Hunterdon is hosting an open house for all Hunterdon
County moms and their children at the North County Branch Library,
