T h e o f f i C e M i l l a n n o u n C e s n e W v i r T u a l o f f i C e s e r v i C e Why should you not use your home address for your business? Many home based professionals register their residential address when they start their businesses. This is a bad idea for the following three reasons: 1. Using your home address looks unprofessional. Your clients know that "14 Shady Tree Lane" is a residential location. Perception is important in how your business looks to potential clients and partners. 2. Mixing home and business is risky. Do you really want your clients and vendors to know where you live? It's a good idea to keep your business and personal activities separate. 3. Your home address is not the location where you meet your clients. Yes, you may have told them in an email to meet you at a coffee shop or at the library, but there's a good chance they will look at your card, type the address in their phone and go there. Do you want them showing up at your doorstep? 4. Post Office boxes and UPS boxes do solve the problem of not mixing your home address and your business but you can't meet clients there. Also, it's clear that you don't actually have an office. To effectively solve the problems above, The Office Mill, Hunterdon County's first coworking space now offers virtual office services for home based businesses. We provide a Main St mailing address, a locked private mailbox and access to a professional conference room for meetings. You will receive a text message with a photo of your mail with the option of picking it up during business hours or having it forwarded to another address. The Office Mill also currently has one more dedicated desk available which includes your very own parking space right behind the building. We're also accepting new memberships to the coworking space. Tours for prospective members can be arraigned by calling Winnie at: 908.219.9029. "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." ~ Nelson Mandela
