Riegel Federal Credit Union was proud to make Anderson House, a Turning Point, Inc. program a beneficiary of their 13th Annual Golf Outing, for the second consecutive year. The outing was held at Oak Hill Golf Course in lovely Milford, New Jersey. "We had 77 golfers this year, which is an increase from last year. The weather was beautiful and I could not have asked for a better group of individuals to partake in this year's event. It was a very special day by all accounts." Commented Zielinski. Riegel Federal Credit Union has been a fixture in Hunterdon County since 1960, when they opened their first office. RFCU staff and Mr. Zielinski provide a community feel and an individualized approach to help members improve their financial standing. The company offers various savings and loan products for residents in the community and have offices in Milford, Clinton and Flemington. Anderson House, the only non-faith-based halfway house in Hunterdon county, has been providing a pathway to recovery for almost 25 years. Anderson House treats addiction on a multi-level approach that includes addressing mental health issues, balancing full-time work, integrating nutrition, financial counseling and basic stress management tools. According to Helen McIntosh, Clinical Director, "A large part of the process is recovering financially after years of substance abuse. Our clients learn how to save and manage their money as part of their program here at Anderson House. We appreciate Jay's willingness to offer to teach classes to our clients as part of our Financial Fitness Program". Mr. Zielinski is an active member of the program's Financial Fitness Seminars for Women in Recovery. Mr. Zielinski presents financial planning information, evidence about the importance of credit and tools to decrease debt. Mr. Zielinski and his RFCU team are community activists and volunteers dedicated to strengthening the community and we thank him for his continued support of our programs!
