ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT • Collaborated with ExxonMobil on major expansion and prevented them from relocating. • Restoring tax base to growth with numerous redevelopment projects throughout the Township. DEREGULATION • Altered Board of Health ordinances to hasten septic repair requests. • Eliminated costly and intrusive building code inspections for home sales, reducing fees and expediting closings. ROADS • 15 Township roads repaved since 2015. Cost offset by nearly $400,000 in state DOT grants, helping to keep bonding and taxes down. We will continue implementing our 5 year capital plan for Township roads in 2017. QUALITY OF LIFE • 5th safest community in New Jersey. www.Safewise.com, "50 Safest Cities in New Jersey – 2017" • Working to provide greater public access to our open space, including dog parks, trails and athletic fields. SCHOOLS • Partnering with NHHS to share adjacent Township open space by creating trails which will provide a safe and enjoyable experience for the high school's cross country and track teams. • Leveraging the presence of ExxonMobil to allow NHHS students interested in STEM careers to visit the world class facility. COMMUTER LOT • Proactively working with state, county, and local leaders on this important regional issue. COAH • Responsibly managing our COAH plan to ensure we comply with Trenton mandates while maintaining our rural character. • Current plan has been informed by community feedback at 33 public meetings. SHARED SERVICES • Saved taxpayer money by working collaboratively with Tewksbury and Readington in rebuilding Potterstown Road. • Build on the successful model of our four-town, joint court.
