Registration forms can be found on our website: www.TewksburyLibraryFriends.org. The first trip on Tuesday May 9 is to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Prior to the museum opening that morning, our group will enjoy a private tour of their newest, limited engagement show, "American Watercolor in the Age of Homer and Sargent; How Watercolor Became an American Phenomenon." This extraordinary gathering of rarely seen masterpieces traces the rise of a uniquely American medium. Shaped by the genius of Winslow Homer and John Singer Sargent, the watercolor movement tells a story about innovation, experimentation and the creation of bold new ways of seeing the world. Following the tour, the group will be free to enjoy the rest of the museum independently. Our tickets will include entry to the nearby Rodin Museum as well. Inclusive ticket price for bus, admission and tour: $95 per person. www. Often called "one of the greatest living works of art," Wave Hill is a spectacular public garden and cultural center overlooking the majestic Hudson River and Palisades, in the Riverdale section of the Bronx. Through its renowned gardens and programs in horticulture, education and the arts, Wave Hill is dedicated to exploring human connections to the natural world. www.WaveHill.org. This trip will be introduced and preceded by a lecture "The History of Garden Conservancy", given by renowned Andrea Filippone of AJF Design. The lecture is planned for May 18 at 4:00 in the afternoon at our library in Oldwick. Ms Filippone, who lives locally, is a landscape designer and environmentalist. Her dedication to environmentally sound practice is evidenced by her five-acre nursery containing more than 50 buxus cultivars, a closed loop composting system and glass greenhouses powered by solar voltaic and thermal panels. She has often guest- lectured at Wave Hill. See the registration form on our website: www. TewksburyLibraryFriends.org. $10 per person. t r i c k y t r a y o n a P r i l 2 8 !
