Evaluating Risk and Natural Gas Pipeline Safety: Dr. Brogan's research conducts an experiment on individual's perceptions of natural gas pipeline incidents and the expansion of natural gas pipeline infrastructure in the USA. Dr. Brogan is an Assistant Professor of Political Science. He has extensive experience working in public administration and budgeting in the U.S. and abroad. His research interests focus on comparative voting behavior, campaign finance and public budgeting. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals Politics & Policy, International Journal of Humanities and Social Science, Public Administration Quarterly, Geopolitics, History, and International Relations and the Journal of Psychoeducational Assessment. He has also contributed book chapters to Money, Corruption, and Political Competition in Established and Emerging Democracies (edited by Jonathan Mendilow), America and Britain After the Financial Crisis (edited by Terrence Casey), and the forthcoming book entitled, Dirty Deals: An Encyclopedia of Lobbying, Political Influence and Corruption (edited by Amy Handlin). He's currently working on a book-length manuscript entitled, Precision Politics: Evaluating the Impact of Political Institutions, Elections, and Economic Conditions on State-Level Budget Forecasting Errors (Lexington: Rowan and Littlefield, 2013). He teaches courses on environmental policy, political behavior, Congress, research methods and American politics. He received his Ph.D. from The Graduate Center, The City University of NY. This program is free and open to the public and will be presented by the South Highlands Group of the Sierra Club on Wednesday, April 5 at the North County Branch Library in Clinton at 7:00 pm. c a l l i n g a l l c H i l i l o v e r S ! Come and join us for a fun-filled day of tasting chili, listening to music, enjoying the tricky tray and voting for your favorites. If you'd like to be a contestant: there are two categories: Individual and Restaurant. Any type of chili is eligible (meat, vegetarian, chicken, turkey, with beans, without beans, etc.) Pull out your best recipe and enter!
