Skylands Girls Fastpitch provides girls in our area with a venue to develop their softball skills and apply them in reasonably competitive games and offers four divisions for girls in K – 8th grade. February is Heart Health month and heart disease is the number one cause of death in women, causing one in three deaths each year. This program will discuss risk factors and symptoms of heart disease for women. Yaser Elnahar, M.D., Cardiologist, Hunterdon Cardiovascular Associates, will present at this educational program. Free blood pressure checks will be provided by Lisa Davis, NP, Hunterdon Cardiovascular Associates. The two lectures are free and open to the community. The program on February 2 will be held on the first floor of Hunterdon Medical Center in the Auditorium, located at 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington. The program on February 7 will be held at the Somerset Medical Office Building, located at 1121 Route 22 West, Bridgewater.
