" f r o m T h e k o u r Y s Looking back on the 25+ years Phil and I have owned the McDonald's in Clinton, I am reminded of just how thankful we are to the Hunterdon Community and our dedicated employees. Back in the early days, Phil and I started in crew positions then moved to management roles where we learned the basics of the business. After being in the McDonald's System for a combined 30 years, we were given the opportunity to become Owner/Operators in 1991. Across our three Hunterdon County locations we employ almost 400 crew and 25 managers. We are proud to say that every one of our managers were home-grown under the McDonald's Arches! Anyone who has said McDonald's could never be a full-time job hasn't spoken to our team. Five of our managers have been with us for over 25 years. Four others have been employed for two decades, while an additional seven have been with us for ten years! Our staff's commitment to running the business, has allowed us to be personally involved in giving back at the community level. For almost 20 years, Diane volunteered as a Girl Scout leader for two troops and as President and the Board of the Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Tri-State Area. Phil has been involved in numerous Township and County committees in addition to serving as a Board Member for the New Jersey Ronald McDonald House Board. We both are involved in our church and feel passionate about giving back to the community through donations that benefit children and families. As franchisees of the McDonald's System, we offer a number of free programs to eligible employees such as: College Advising Services, English Classes, College Tuition Assistance and the Career Online High School program. It is personally gratifying to see employees enrolled in the English classes to learn the skills we all can take for granted. They feel confident and valued as they learn to read, write and communicate in English. This Thanksgiving, we are grateful for our teams – each one of you who has worked for us and also the parents who entrusted with us with their child's first job. You are an overwhelming source of support and encouragement for our McFamily. Thank you to all of our customers, especially those who have greeted us with a smile, celebrated an important milestone with us, mourned the loss of an employee, and been there with us every step of the way. You truly make our days as bright as we hope to make yours, and know we look forward to serving you for many more years to come. With gratitude, Phil and Diane Koury
