The Annandale Reformed Church is celebrating their 150th anniversary and the life of Pastor Ken Lobb with a free Community Music Festival on Saturday, September 10. Unfortunately, Ken passed away in April. We'd like to honor his broad love of music and the Annandale community with this event. Donations will be collected to benefit local Police, Fire and Rescue organizations. The Church is located in the Village of Annandale at 2 West Street at the corner of Beaver Avenue (County Routes 641 and 626). It will be held outside on the grounds from noon to 6:00 pm, with a rain date of October 1. Please join us for a wide variety of live music, food, refreshments and a chance to just "chill in the vill(age)"! T e w k e s b u R y h i s T o R i C A l s o C i e T y m u s e u m o p e n s u n d A y , s e p T e m b e R 1 8 & 2 5 The Tewksbury Historical Society Museum, located at 60 Water Street in the Mountainville section of Tewksbury Township, will be open for tours on Sunday, September 18 and Sunday, September 25 from 1:00 pm to 5 pm as part of Hunterdon Heritage Days. Museums all across Hunterdon County will be open on these days to highlight Hunterdon's rich history. Tour all of Hunterdon's numerous museums and historical society buildings to see what the County has to offer! Free museum guides available at each location. Presently on display at the Tewksbury Historical Society Museum is a display of Rockaway Valley, a.k.a the Rockabye Baby Railroad memorabilia, including tickets, ticket holder, a piece of the original rail, coal from one of the engines and much more! Walk through the museum and see the original one-room Mountainville Schoolhouse, which serves as Tewksbury Township's Meeting Hall and shared municipal court with Lebanon Township. The Society has numerous gift items for sale including 100% cotton U.S. made afghans depicting historic buildings throughout Tewksbury; afghans come in delft blue, hunter green and cranberry red, art show notecards depicting winning works from previous shows and churches note cards, which are pen and ink drawings of each of Tewksbury's fivechurches, and post cards replicated from original historic scenes and buildings in the Township. There are books for sale including hardcover and paperback editions of Historic Notes on Fairmount, NJ by Freeman Leigh, hardcover copies of The Encyclopedia of New Jersey and Mapping New Jersey as well as prints of Tewksbury, Oldwick, Califon, Mountainville and Pottersville. The Tewksbury Historical Society is a New Jersey not-for-profit corporation and was organized for the purpose of furthering research into and the preservation and dissemination of the history of the Township of Tewksbury.
