We invite the community to an Open House (on Sunday, April 17 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm) to learn about our extensive programs and services, including summer day camp, equine assisted therapies, and adaptive riding. Children of all ages and abilities will have the opportunity to participate in a sampling of activities and crafts planned for our 2016 Summer Day Camp, while parents can learn more about the camp schedule, which offers 9 week-long sessions to choose from. No prior horse experience is necessary. All attendees who register for camp at the Open House will receive a $25 discount. Interested in Mane Stream's other programs and services? Take a tour of the facility to see the Unbridled Possibilities Therapy Clinic which offers space for gross motor training, sensory integration equipment and fine motor activities. Spend time with the hard-working Mane Stream horses and speak directly with our trained therapists (Occupational, Physical, and Speech-Language Pathologist) and PATH International Registered Instructors. Also highlighted during the day will be two of our newest equine assisted programs, "Take the Reins" for Veterans and "Horses for Healing" for those living with, recovering from, and living life after cancer. It is time for the Newcomers Club of North Hunterdon's 10th Annual "Bring The Heat" Chili Cook-off on Saturday, April 30! Come and join us for a fun-filled day of tasting chili, listening to music, enjoying the tricky tray and voting for your favorites. If you'd like to be a contestant: there are two categories: Individual and Restaurant. Any type of chili is eligible (meat, vegetarian, chicken, turkey, with beans, without beans, etc.) Pull out your best recipe and enter! Individuals can win cash prizes; restaurants will be awarded a plaque for Best Chili in Hunterdon County. There are People's Choice awards in both categories as well.
