With the advent of spring and summer, the Clinton Township
Police Department wishes to caution all residents about various
homeowner scams in the area. Some involve usually two or
more individuals knocking on residents' doors to offer services
such as driveway paving, roofing, well testing, etc. While
one or two of these individuals engage the homeowner in
conversation, the last member of the team burglarizes the home,
taking anything that can be stolen quickly.
Residents should be cautioned about locking their doors
during the day, as well as the evenings. Also, be aware that
any door-to-door canvassing in the Township requires a
peddler's license. Any questionable activity in your neighborhood
should be reported to the Clinton Township Police
at 908-735-6000.
You are encouraged, as always, to be a good citizen –
be vigilant for your neighbors and for your family as well.

Departments for fencing as well as
inspection requirements.
