The event will feature Civil War reenactors, first person portrayals, activities for all ages and Civil War era artifacts to provide visitors with an interactive lesson on the War Between the States. The event is included with regular museum admission. This year's Civil War Day includes both Union and Confederate soldier reenac- tors who will talk to visitors about the war and conduct artillery and cannon demonstrations. In addition, there will be interactive workshops on nineteenth century life, candle making, herb garden demonstrations, a blacksmith and nineteenth century school activities. Acclaimed historical musician Matthew Dodd will present music and stories of the Civil War. Visitors will also be able to view objects from the era that are held in the museum's collection. The Red Mill Museum Village will also be opening one of its temporary exhibits for the year—Sunny Side Up, which discusses breakfast at the turn of the century and showcases some of the jewels of the museum's collection, including a cast iron cook-stove, a beautiful nineteenth century china set, and a "Whatsit Wall," where guests can guess the use of early kitchen gadgets. Taste the Past at the Red Mill Museum Village this summer! The Red Mill Museum Village is now open 6 days a week, Tues. through Sat., 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Sun., noon to 5:00 pm. Admission: $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, active duty military and veterans, $6 for children 6 to 12 (free for museum members and children under 6. This summer we are offering two great volleyball programs! • Six Week Summer Clinic: Tuesday and Thursday Eve- nings, 5:30 – 7:30 pm, from July 11 to August 18. Cost is $200. (Register by 5/31 for only $175!) All middle school girls from NHHS sending districts who will be in grades 6-8 (as of Fall, 2016) are eligible to attend. This is a great opportunity for the girls to work on their game, prepare for their middle or high school season, or just get introduced to the game and see if they enjoy it! • One Week Summer Volleyball Camp: July 25 - 28, 8:00 am - 12:00 noon, $125 registration fee. For girls in grades 4-9 (as of Fall 2016). Last year over 80 at- tendees had a great time while strengthening their volleyball skills! The NHHS team, led by Coach Kirk Hissner, has been one of the top-ranked volleyball programs in the State for many years! ICS serves students in 3-year-old Preschool through 8th Grade. 9:00 am to 11:00 am I c s s t u d e n t a r t W o r K e x h I B I t e d a t h a m Each year the Hunterdon Art Museum (HAM) invites local schools to exhibit a sampling of their students' artwork – Immaculate Conception School is proud to participate! The exhibit is open from Saturday, April 9 – Sunday, April 17. It's a wonderful opportunity for students to see the art in a gallery setting! Under the direction of Art Educator Mrs. Karen McBride, the ICS Art Program provides students the opportunity to let their creative spirit shine through their works of art. McBride will showcase this creativity and talent of ICS students at the Annual ICS Spring Art Show on Thursday June 2. The community is invited to visit the show, meet the young talented artists, and tour the school. A 2013 Blue Ribbon School of Academic Excellence, Immaculate Conception School serves children preschool through eighth grade and is the only Catholic School in Hunterdon County. The school offers a rigorous academic program seeking to foster in each student spiritual growth, academic excellence and moral integrity.
