"Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service" was the theme for National Catholic Schools Week 2016 and the students, faculty and staff of ICS observed this annual celebration week with Masses, open houses and a variety of activities for students, school families, parishioners and community members. The week concluded with a luncheon for Grandparents and Special Friends, followed by a special movie theatre fundraising event. Leading in Faith, ICS Student Council members collaborated, designed and implemented the event. Students paid $1 to see the movie of their choice and were allowed to purchase from a variety of concession treats! The one-day event raised $1083 for Talita Kum, a group home for girls in Colombia, South America. Through events like this, ICS focuses on the value Catholic education provides to young people and its contribution to our church, communities and those in need around the world. ICS invites prospective students, their families and community residents to one of two upcoming open houses, Monday, Feb. 29, from 9:00 to 11:00 am and Tuesday, March 22, from 9:00 to 11:00 am.
