There are many things that can cause these, including heart problems, neurologic disorders, gait disorders, or problems with medications. In some cases, fainting and falling can be a sign of a dangerous medical condition. Because there are so many potential causes, people often end up seeing several doctors before the correct diagnosis is made. Hunterdon Cardiovascular Associates will host Falls and Fainting Spells: What You Need to Know on Monday, February 15 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm. This program will discuss the problems of falls and fainting spells, and explain the Hunterdon Faint and Fall Center, a one-stop clinic designed to provide answers on the same day as your appointment. Andrew Rudnick, M.D., Hunterdon Cardiovascular Associates, and Rachana Kothari, M.D., Center for Healthy Aging, will lead the afternoon session. Dr. Rudnick and Nancy Gilliam, FNP, Hunterdon Cardiovascular Associates, will lead the evening session. Both sessions will be held on the 1st floor of Hunterdon Medical Center in the Auditorium and are free and open to the community. For more information or to register, contact Hunterdon Cardiovascular Associates at 908.788.1710. Visit online at: www.HunterdonCardiovascular.com.
