Cross Country is the newest addition to the fall lineup of extra curricular activities at Immaculate Conception School in Annandale. The program has proven to be a colossal hit among boys and girls in grades four through eight with over twenty five percent of the student population in those grades enrolled in the program. Olympic hopeful, Declan Murray is coaching the enthusiastic ICS team. Declan, a 24-year old 800m athlete, is currently training with the NJ*NY Track Club with the ultimate goal of representing Ireland at the Olympics in 2016. ICS is proud to have Declan onboard sharing his experiences and inspiring our youth. ICS fourth grader Michael Olender comments, "I am glad to have the opportunity to join Cross Country at ICS. I like too that it is a mixed group of grades four through eight. This allows us to work together as a true ICS Team. I am having fun meeting some of the kids in other grades. I think this will really help me with baseball. It will help increase my speed and endurance." A 2013 Blue Ribbon School of Academic Excellence, Immaculate Conception School welcomes children preschool through eighth grade.
