Advanced Challenge for Everyone (ACE) is just that – an opportunity for all Clinton Township students, regardless of ability level, to participate in a variety of fun, developmentally appropriate, yet challenging activities designed to enhance learning. ACE is held at the Spruce Run School and provides an environment where teachers from the Clinton Township School District collaborate with children in active learning, problem solving and creative thinking while exploring topics of interest. Teachers and students of ACE will celebrate their successes with two exciting culminating events. All children will participate in a Field Day designed to incorporate cooperation, physical activity and fun. Children will also hold a Closing Ceremony where families will be invited to tour our gallery of new creations, knowledge and skills made by children in ACE during the three week program. ACE is designed for students entering grades two through eight. We also offer an Early Childhood Component for children who turn three by July 1, 2015, through those entering first grade. Mrs. High presented the American Flag that was flown at the school to the Boy Scouts from Troop 121 who then retired the flag on June 12. In partnership with the Clinton Presbyterian Church, Troop 121 will be offering a service to the community by accepting any American Flags that need to be retired. If you are interested, there will be a bin outside the church by the mailboxes, so you can place the flag in the bin, which will be retired during a ceremony on June 12 by Troop 121. Celebrating over 75 years in Scouting, Troop 121 is a high-adventure Boy Scout troop committed to the ideals and values of Scouting. The oldest Boy Scout troop in the Clinton area, the troop is boy-led and meets Monday nights at the Clinton Presbyterian Church.
