For about 10 years, Country Garden Shed was just a little tiny roadside stand without even a building or name and only a cluster of plants. Three years ago, Karen den Hollander took over the business with the help of her husband Roy den Hollander. They turned it from being a few plants in a 'shoebox' to being a gorgeous and fun place to shop, decorated with a European flare, inspired by their Dutch family heritage. Located on Route 579 (Croton Road) in Flemington NJ, the Country Garden Shed now specializes in perennials and annuals along with shrubs, country home décor, beautiful birdhouses and outdoor furniture. However, the expansion of the business does not stop there – Country Garden Shed's family team is always looking for new items, ideas and experiences to offer the customer, making the trip to the garden center an unforgettable experience and somewhere one would want to bring their friends. The garden center strives to present a relaxing and beautiful environment, and many customers stop in after a tough day just to sit in the chairs, listen to the calming music and to the birds singing their cheerful songs.
