Thank you for including mention of the Historical Society's Rural Awareness Tool Talk and the Historical Society's March DNA Speaker. Things I have so rarely match your deadline, seeing two of them included was a particular treat. Best regards, Lora Jones" "Dear Julie, On behalf of the trustees of the Clinton Township Foundation for Edu- cational Excellence, we'd like to extend our sincere appreciation for your help in promoting our November fundraising event. The event was very successful and the funds raised will assist us in funding unique educational enrichment opportunities for all students in the Clinton Township school district. Your support of our community has meant so much to us. Sincerely, Courtenay Anderson & Jenn McBride" Editor's Note–Thanks y'all–keep reading us! Rae Baldinger, age 90, and our biggest fan, called us to say that "I love my RN and home health care helper, Meg Esposito! She's so kind, so wonderful!" Rae adds, "Your work doesn't go unheralded! I love Ruth–she's me and I'm her and I love her too!" Now is the time to begin planning your lawn care strate- gies. As a golf course superintendent for the past 20 years, one thing I know for sure is that an ounce of prevention in the spring is worth a pound of cure throughout the summer and fall. Early spring is the best time to treat your lawn for crabgrass prevention and here some helpful hints to get you started. Crabgrass is a summer annual that germinates from seeds in the soil each spring. Seeds begin to germinate when soil temperatures are between 57 and 64 ℉ (Usually between Mid-March and Mid-April in New Jersey). Control: The best method to control Crabgrass is an application of a pre- emergent herbicide. My preferred product is Barricade (Prodiamine). It gives season long control and low-use rates make it a very safe product. Please note, all pre-emergents must be watered into the soil to be effective and applied prior to seed germination."–Tim Reinagel, Masters Turf & Landscapes With a BS in Agronomy from the University of Georgia and a 20 year- career making golf courses look beautiful, Tim Reinagel, owner of Masters Turf and Landscapes in Clinton Township, will ensure that your lawn looks fantastic this spring – and all year long.
