3 F e b r u a r y 2 0 1 5 G R E A T N E W S ! ! ! Did you submit an article, an ad and/or have your name listed in one of our 2014 issues? The Hunterdon County Tricentennial Commit- tee chose an entire years' worth* of Clinton Township Newsletters to go into their 2014 Tricentennial Time Capsule. That means, when opened in the year 2114, Hunterdon County residents of tomorrow will be reading about you! We are so thrilled to have been included in the time capsule and we wish we could be there for the opening. Best of luck to the Clinton Township Residents of 2114--we hope you're doing well and we hope the Clinton Township Newsletter is still going strong! *A years' worth except, that is, for our March 2014 issue. So, Dear Residents of 2114, we're sorry–we ran out of the March 2014 issue. We hope it's still floating around (in what we now call) the internet somehow. Here's one thing that happened in March of 2014: The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick held their first St. Patrick's Day Parade in Downtown Clinton. So, if all went well dur- ing the following century, you should be celebrating your 100th St. Patrick's Day Parade there this year, right? Good luck with that. And remember, the Friendly Sons do it all with good cheer. See the FSSP article on page 14. Crime Stoppers of Hunterdon County is a non-profit, volunteer-run program and the Board of Directors is made of concerned citizens from the local community. Through fund raising efforts, Crime Stoppers is able to offer rewards for information that leads to an arrest. Crime Stoppers has been a tremendous partner along with the media in assisting with capturing fugitives. Fugitives are most often repeat offenders involved with narcotics, burglary and other violent crimes in our County. The Hunterdon County Fugitive Task Force which is comprised of detectives from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office, Hunterdon County Sheriff's Office, local and State Police, benefits greatly from tips generated by Crime Stoppers. Hunterdon County Crime Stoppers rallies citizens, provides an av- enue for them to safely and anonymously report information about criminal activity and incentivizes them with monetary rewards if the information leads to an arrest. Crime Stoppers' strength is in its ability to protect the identity of the tipster. No person's identity will ever be compromised, not even when subpoenaed by the courts. The premise is simple; see something, say something, get cash--all anonymously. To Report a Tip to Crime Stoppers of Hunterdon County: 1) Call the tipline at 1-800-321-0010 2) Text – "CRIMES" or 274637 with the message: HCTIPS: (YOUR MESSAGE) 3) Submit your tip online at: www.crimestoppershunterdon.com To view Hunterdon's Most Wanted, go to the Hunterdon County Fugitive Task Force website at: http://www.co.hunterdon.nj.us/ prosecutor/mostwanted.html.
