Providing affordable entertainment and educational programming to the college and the community, RVCCArts strives to be a meeting place of diverse ideas and art — a cultural centerpiece — providing a central location where college and community, teacher and learner can come together and share the transforming experience of live performance. Each season the theatre presents the Major Artists series; three series for kids and their families, TinyTots (2+), the Sampler Series (4+), the Family Series (8+); and School-Time Performances, a series of educational field trip events for preK through grade 12. In addition, the theatre offers two mid-week series for an adult audience, Tuesdays with Stories and Club28. These events are designed for a smaller audience, in an intimate setting, and each includes post-show discussion with the artists. I fully intend to return the favor and help a family in need when I get back on my feet." This quote is from one of the many thank you letters to generous donors who supported United Way of Hunterdon County's Holiday Hands program, which served more than 2,500 individuals in 2013. Getting involved in Holiday Hands is easy. United Way will match individuals or organizations with a family and/ or individual and provide their wish list. Unwrapped gifts and/or gift cards are brought to the United Way of Hunterdon County's office by December 6, 2014. Gift cards are always needed, especially for individuals and families that are not "adopted". If you, your company or your organization are interested in learning more about adopting a family or volunteering this holiday season, please contact Amy Andersen at: 908.782.3414, ext. 24 or: amy@uwhunterdon.org. " l i g h t S o f l o V e " S h i n e a t h u n t e R d o n m e d i C a l C e n t e R For over 26 years the Lights of Love program has been a time-honored tradition at Hunterdon Medical Center. Since its inception, this pro- gram has raised $622,000 which allows Hunterdon Medical Center to continue to provide excellent healthcare for our community. Each year the Lights of Love evergreen tree, located on the front lawn of the Hunterdon Medical Center campus, is illuminated with thousands of lights representing gifts received from donors all over the country to honor or memorialize their loved ones. Once again it is time to think about the people who mean the most to us. You can do this by making a $20 tax-deductible donation to the Hunterdon Medical Center Foundation requesting that a "light of love" be placed on the "Lights of Love" Tree. In addition, you can make a larger donation in which shining ornaments will be placed on the tree. These levels include: Circle of Love - $500, Candlelight - $250 and Starlight - $100. For additional information and to make a donation, call the Hunterdon Medical Center Foundation at 908.788.6498 or visit https://hunterdonhealthcare.thankyou4caring.org. h u n t e R d o n C o u n t y t R a n S f e R S t a t i o n p a S S e S The 2015 Hunterdon County Transfer Station Passes will be available starting January 1, 2015.
