The Yard Sale will be held at the FSC, located at 3 East Main Street, Flemington, on Saturday, October 4. The FSC is currently collecting tax deductible donations from the community for the Yard Sale. Do you have a donation for the sale? Accepted items include: gently used or new clothing; gently used sneakers and shoes; toys; household items; kitchen items; and small furniture. While we will NOT be accept- ing books, medium and large furniture, computers or electronics, we encourage families to call if they have any doubts about making a donation. This will be a great opportunity to clean up your home or empty out your garage, all while mak- ing a donation to the FSC; and as all proceeds go to the FREE programing at the FSC, every donation helps us make our county a better place! For more info and dropoff times, please call the FSC at 908.237.0465. The FSC is a statewide network administered by Hunterdon Prevention Resources (HPR) with funding from the New Jersey Division of Family and Community Partnerships. The mission of the FSC is to provide a welcom- ing family-friendly environment to all county residents in order to strengthen and empower individuals and families through collaborative family-centered activities, educational workshops and access to resources to acquire knowledge and skills needed to maintain healthy family relationships. For more info about the HC Family Success Center, contact us at 908-237-0465 or visit our new web site at www.hcfsc.com. At the end of the day we will debrief about our findings and what they could mean. n a t u r e c l u B s F o r k I d s Our popular nature clubs will introduce your child to many exciting na- ture topics. A professional Park Naturalist will guide the children during hikes as they discover the diverse field, forest and pond habitats at Echo Hill or Teetertown. Other hands-on activities include science experiments, field games and take-home craft projects. The children will be able to observe the subtle changes from week to week as we progress through the season. Through our explorations, children will also hone their attention to detail as we observe the colors, shapes, textures and sounds of the natural world. Please be sure to dress your child for the outdoors so that the whole group will be able to enjoy our lessons fully. We strongly recommend old clothes and sneakers/ boots that can get dirty. Nature Clubs meet rain or shine. In inclement weather, we shorten our outdoor adventures to spend more time indoors.
