Using a variety of subject matter, including still life subjects, photographs, and landscape, the instructor will work with students to improve their drawing and painting skills. Students may work in charcoal, pastels, oil, acrylic, or watercolor paints. Students supply their own materials. Beginners please bring charcoal pencils, erasers, and newsprint pad to the first class. Others please bring preferred materials. Material list will be supplied at the first class. Don't think you can draw or paint, but you would like to give it a try? "Everyone has talent; they just don't know it!" says art instructor and illustrator Lena Shiffman. October 31, 4:30 to 6:00 pm: Halloween at Round Valley Begin Halloween night with an early evening walk on an un- lighted trail. Learn about the scary tales of Round Valley, some true and some more legendary. Costumes are encouraged. $2 fee for ages six and above; pre-registration recommended. The Hunterdon Health and Wellness Center in Clinton and the Hunterdon Health and Wellness Center in Whitehouse Station are opening their doors for a Fall Open House. The commu- nity is invited to work out for FREE at the Hunterdon Health and Wellness Center in Clinton on Tuesday, September 30 from 5:00 am - 10:00 pm and on Thursday, October 2 in Whitehouse Station from 6:00 am - 10:00 pm. Attendees will enjoy open access to the Hunterdon Health and Wellness Centers, which includes use of the pool, whirlpool, a variety of classes, cardio equipment, various weight equipment, chair massages and com- plete locker facilities. The following classes will be offered during the open houses: Spinning, Aqua Pilates, Shallow Aquatics, BodyStep/Pump, Pilates, BodyFlow, Strength, Zumba, Zumba Gold, Aqua Zumba, Yoga, Introduction to Spin, Senior Cardio/Strength, Chair Yoga, Demo Tai JI, Demo Kung Fu, BodyCombat, Master Swim, Shaolin Kung Fu, SH'BAM, Advanced Group Aquatics, Senior Balance and Aquatics Boot Camp.
