One of our Clinton Township residents, Alan Bilbee (59-years-old), needs a liver transplant to live. He caught Hepatitis C from a tattoo in the 1980s and is currently receiving care at Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia while awaiting transplant. Alan used to work as a masterful painter and remod- eled homes in Northern New Jersey with his brother Howard. Starting in 2005, Alan has been unable to work. Alan is looking forward to getting healthy again so he can fish with his sons, play with his granddaughters and meet his far-away grandsons. Even with insurance, Alan is facing very high expenses. Since May 20, 2014, his wife Kathy Bilbee has been paying $40 a night as a guest of Gift of Life Family House in Philadelphia, which serves as a "home away from home" for organ transplant patients and their families. A fundraising campaign for transplant-related expenses has been es- tablished with the nonprofit HelpHOPELive. All contributions are tax- deductible. To donate, please visit: www.helphopelive.org and search for "Alan Bilbee" or call: 1.800.642.8399. Thank you. l i B r a r y c a r d m o n t h p r o m o t i o n ! ! !
