Support this March of Dimes fundraiser and join the celebration and learning experience of the accomplishments of March of Dimes during the organization's early years.Step back in time to the 1940's when the sad epidemic of polio swept our nation. March of Dimes was instrumental in research for a cure. This celebratory evening includes wine tasting, refreshments and a silent auction. Live music including "big band" favorites sets the stage of the 1940's theme. Support March of Dimes as they improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality through advocacy, research, education and support. The nationally recognized Hunterdon Huskies football and cheerleading program is now accepting registrations from area athletes for the upcoming 2014 season. • Football: For athletes ages 5 to 15 years old (as of 7/31/14), who weigh less than 160 pounds and have the desire and motivation to learn and play football at a high level of competition. Huskies Football earned National Championship titles in 2007 and 2006, and was a National Finalist in 2005. • Cheerleading: For athletes ages 3 to 15 (as of 7/31/14) with interest in learning high-energy tightly choreographed routines that incorporate cheer, dance, stunts and tumbling. Huskies Cheer earned National Championship titles in 2013, 2012 and 2010, third place in 2013 and 2012, and was First Runner-Up in 2005. • Contender Programs -- Huskies Contender Cheer and Huskies Contender Football are open to all children with special needs of all abilities! On Thursday, March 20 at 8:00 pm, the North Hunterdon High School Music Department will present its 12th Annual "Prism" Concert in the new gymnasium. Talented musicians from all of the North Hunterdon Bands and Choirs will display their musical skills. The "Prism" concert format features a rapid-fire sequence of approximately twenty musical selections that will be staged in different locations throughout the gym. It will showcase ensembles and soloists from the talented student body as well as favorite pieces from the school choirs and bands. Coupled with professional lighting and visual effects, a "Prism" concert is a sensory treat for audience and performers alike. The absence of applause between the performances allows for a unique flow and movement that gives a unique ambiance and excitement to this special evening. Come and experience this spectacular event! Admission for the concert is $12 for adults and $7 for students and senior citizens. Proceeds from the event will benefit the students in the music department.
