Students were selected based on scores from their PSAT exam. Semi-Finalists may advance to become Finalists and compete for a $2,500 scholarship. Students from Clinton Township selected included Cecilia Luciano and Angela Yang as Semi-Finalists, and Stephanie Faust, Riley McCarten, Kathryn Middleton, Kira Scala and Rishi Singhal as Commended Students. • The College Board has identified 155 NHHS students who earned AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievement on Advanced Placement Exams this past spring. Out of those 155 students, 12 qualified for the National AP Scholar Awards which means they earned an average score of 4 or higher on a five-point scale on all AP exams taken, and a score of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams. Students from Clinton Township who earned the National AP Scholar Award included: Lauren Crawford, Katherine Jennison, Matthew Kursar, Cameron Menezes, Desta Pulley, and Mark Sun. • North Hunterdon High School Mathematics Teacher, Kathleen Carter, is a 2013 State Finalist for New Jersey for The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST). The national winners will be announced next summer and will receive a certificate signed by the President of the United States and a $10,000 award from the National Science Foundation. The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching are the nation's highest honors for teachers of mathematics and science (including computer science). Kathleen Carter has been a North Hunterdon High School teacher since August 2006 and currently teaches Algebra II Honors, Discrete Math, and Financial Literacy. • The Winter Concerts at North Hunterdon High School will be December 12 and 19. Concerts at Voorhees High School will be held on December 11 and 18. All concerts begin at 7:00pm in the school's theatre. 2 0 1 3
