"Doing Clinton–A Fall Focus" Weekend The First Days of Fall have something special in store for you…"Doing Clinton – A Fall Focus." The weekend event, features two days of activities showcasing over forty shops, restaurants, health/beauty salons, financial/ insurance companies and service providers, is scheduled for September 21 and 22 (from noon to 4:00) in historic Downtown Clinton. Drawings will be offered by some businesses as well. Food, chocolate, coffee, cheese and wine samplings! Fall fashions and home decorating using autumn colors! Check out new lines of jewelry to accentuate your wardrobe. Autumn flowers can also add to your home décor, check out flowers/plants and arrangement at the florist in Town. Beauty and hair-styling tips will be offered by beauty salons and day spa. Fall is also a great time to focus on one's health with yoga, bike riding and hiking… check out service, equipment and clothing for your recreational and fall vacation needs. Experience the newest trends for upcoming holidays with gifts and invitations and don't forget to capture and save your holiday memories with professional photographs and framing. Review your financial, insurance and mortgage needs with local professionals. There will be music–with a prelude to the finale of "A Come Together" which is scheduled for the next weekend. For your own music/entertaining needs check out audio/video equipment for your home. R o u n d V a l l e y R e c r e at i o n A r e a in September • September 2: Raptors of New Jersey, 10:00 a.m. to 11:30. Park fee; pre-registration recommended. A presentation by the Raptor Trust, including live raptors. Several hawks and falcons will be on exhibit to see and learn about the beneficial role of these hunters of the air. ADA accessible educational nature program. • September 21: The Far Side: Welcome Autumn with a 10 mile hike of the lesser traveled Cushetunk Trail, 10:00 am to 3:30 pm. FREE; preregistration required. Join park naturalist Jim Tubman for this is a mountainous and moderately strenuous hike on Round Valley's multi-use, Cushetunk trail. Hiking shoes, water and lunch required. • September 22: Bird Walk, 9:00 am to 11:00 am. FREE; pre-registration recommended. Join John DeMarrais, NJ Audubon Society member, on 3\4 mile flat trail loop. Traverse the water's edge as you search signs of birds preparing for the nesting season.
