Happy Spring! from the CTPD
Clinton Township Police are excited to announce
recent promotions in the agency! On Wednesday, March
11, during a Township Council meeting attended by many
of their family members and colleagues, Sergeant Sean
Ross was promoted to the rank
of Lieutenant and Patrolman
Peter Schlesier was promoted
to the rank of Sergeant.
Lieutenant Ross attended the
Trenton Police Academy in 2006
and began his law enforcement
c a r e e r a s a m e m b e r o f t h e
Hunterdon County Sheriff's office.
In 2007, he became a Class II
Special Police Officer in Clinton
Township and was hired as a
full-time patrol officer in 2008.
Lieutenant Ross was promoted to
the rank of Sergeant in 2019, and
after supervising a patrol squad, he
became the Investigative Division
Commander, overseeing the Detective
Bureau and Internal Affairs.
Sergeant Schlesier attended the
Somerset County Police Academy
in 2000 and began his career as a
member of the Flemington Borough
Police Department. In 2004, he
was hired by the Clinton Township
Police Department, where he has
served as an officer in the Patrol
Division.
