We look forward to seeing you in 2026! m a k e u p Q u e s t i O n s F O r m e l i Dear Meli, I would love your insight on ways to make my makeup last longer. I apply my makeup around 6:30 am before going to work, and I notice that by the late afternoon, my foundation doesn't look as fresh as when it did in the morning. Is there any product or technique you'd recommend to help my makeup last longer throughout the day? – Bri Dear Bri, That's a great question and there are definitely ways to extend the wear of your makeup so that it looks just as good as it did when you first applied it in the morning. For starters, I would absolutely recommend that you pick up a face primer that is applied after any of your initial skincare (such as moisturizer) and before your foundation. A face primer not only fills in any lines or pores to make the surface of your skin a much smoother canvas to work with but it also is designed to be used under your makeup to make it last all day. I would also recommend purchasing a setting powder which sets the foundation and keeps the face more matte and prevents any unnecessary shine to form over time. Either a loose powder or pressed powder compact will do the job. Lastly, I would consider purchasing a makeup setting spray that is sprayed onto the entire face after you have finished applying your makeup. While I do think a good face primer and face powder should be enough to ensure that your makeup will last, incorporating a setting spray is one final quick and easy step that will also extend the longevity of your makeup.
