The duckies are celebrating 36 years of swimming down the South Branch raising money for charity. Come help them have their most successful year yet! Clinton Sunrise Rotary will sponsor the GREAT HUNTERDON RUBBER DUCKY RACE on Sunday, July 13. Ducks will be leaving the starting gate at 2:00 pm, rain or shine. The race will be held on the South branch of the Raritan River in Clinton near the Hunterdon Art Museum. One thousand or more ducks are in training for the big day and they need YOU to sponsor them! The event will be a colorful one, as hundreds of yellow rubber ducks race to the finish line, sponsors cheering them on, hoping THEIR duck will be a winner. Winning ducks waddle away with: first place prize $1000 travel voucher from Mary Beth Sullivan-Cruise Planners World Traveler Vacations; second place prize is a $500 travel voucher from Mary Beth Sullivan-Cruise Planners World Traveler Vacations and third place prize is an amazing gift basket from the Clinton Guild ($500 value); fourth place prize is an 8x10" framed print of The Red Mill from Alchemist Art & Custom Framing ($175 value); fifth and sixth place prizes are $50 gift certificates from Nourish to Heal in Clinton; seventh to tenth place prizes are $25 gift cards from Kuay Tiew 9 Noodles; eleventh to twentieth prizes are $10 gift cards from the Stone Bean at Riverside Coffee & Tea in Clinton. And, the last duck over the finish line is far from a loser!! The last duck wins its sponsor a $100 gift certificate sponsored by Gansfuss Insurance Agency and the Last Ducky Trophy. All proceeds support the charitable projects of the Clinton Sunrise Rotary through educational and service projects, student scholarships and crisis needs in our community.
