As an experienced teacher of various classes, I work with a diverse group of people of all fitness levels. Barre Fitness is a combination of Yoga, Pilates and Dance; engaging the core, using balance, and combining stretching with strength. Yoga focuses on poses that include balance and breathwork for both the mind and body. Pilates focuses on core strength and control with precise movements. Dance incorporates choreography movements with expression. When combining all three of these fitness forms you get a Barre Fitness class. Barre Fitness classes help with balance and coordination, improves flexibility, and can be considered a low impact core and leg strengthening exercise. This form of exercise can help improve cardiovascular health by elevating the heart rate with exercise movements. Any age or experience level can try out a Barre Fitness class and benefit from it. Group classes are a good way to interact and socialize with people in the community. Fitness has many benefits and is always a positive experience. Some of these benefits are: improving mental health, reducing stress, increasing energy, enhancing the quality of sleep, and boosting confidence. If you get a chance, try a Barre Fitness class! What do you do, though, when those items still have some life left in them? One popular option is to sell them online, but since that leaves you open to doing business with people you don't know, proceed with caution. The following are some steps you can use to make your online transactions safer: Use reputable, well-known online platforms, or marketplaces specializing in the merchandise you're selling. These platforms have built-in safety precautions designed to protect both buyer and seller. Among those precautions are associated payment systems that allow you to accept payments through secured gateways without divulging your banking information. Protect your personal information. Consider using an email address set up specifically for your online transactions. Avoid sharing your full name, address or phone number until the terms of the transaction are finalized, and then only share what is necessary. Choose wisely when arranging in-person transactions. Consider meeting in a public place when it comes time to exchange your item for payment – a coffee shop or the parking lot of a local police station could work. Take note of your surroundings and if something seems off, leave! As an added precaution, ask a friend to join you. A few other safety tips: • Never take the transaction off the chosen platform during negotiations. • Set terms of the transaction – time and place for meeting, price, form of payment – in advance of meeting. • For larger items that need to be picked up from your home, arrange to meet with the buyer beforehand in a public place where you can exchange copies of your IDs. This is for the protection of both the buyer and the seller. The above precautions can be used by buyers as well. Online marketplaces can be a great avenue to dispose of unwanted items and to find bargains. A little common sense and a few precautions can help ensure the transactions are done safely. – Victor Rotolo "A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it.
