How a petticoat is held up? How the common 18th century woman dressed? All these mysteries of 18th century dress and more will be answered as the Readington Museums proudly presents, 18th C e n t u r y C l o t h i n g from the Inside Out, w i t h h i s t o r i a n s B e v Altrath and Arlene Soong. The presenters will provide a fun and insightful look into what exactly went on under all those 18th century petticoats. Starting with foundation garments, they will explain and show how an 18th century garment was worn, including accessories and outer wear for the everyday working woman. These positions are specifically for the school field trip season, with most tours taking place during school hours in April, May, and early June. As a part of the education team, tour guides and workshop leaders will engage students in a hands-on, immersive experience that brings history to life. Our team is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment that fosters mutual support while advancing the mission of the Red Mill Museum Village. Important Note: This position is primarily for the spring season and isn't suitable for teachers seeking summer employment. We are looking for team members who can commit to the role during the school field trip season.
