The backbone of any school district are the individuals who show up each day to support student success. At CTSD we have a team of dedicated teachers, aides, support professionals, custodians, maintenance, substitutes, and various other individuals who work to ensure we have a great district where students can succeed. One of these individuals is our Round Valley School District lunch lady Ruth Krysinski, who just celebrated her 95th Birthday. "Ms. Ruthie", as the children call her, has worked for Clinton Township School District since January of 1997. Each day she shows up with energy and genuine love for the district and her students. Her colleagues arranged to surprise her with a cake, celebration, and a framed picture of the original Red School House. Ms. Ruthie was touched by the outpouring of love and support shown to her by the district and family members both here and abroad. We are so thankful that we as a district have an employee like Mrs. Krysinski working with our children, and we are especially thankful we got a chance to celebrate her and show her how much we care. – Sincerely, Dr. Melissa Stager, Ed.D Superintendent, CTSD A MESSAGE FROM DR. Happy Birthday Ms. Ruthie! Reading is fun... in pajamas! Reading is PAWsitive! (Wear something with an animal or animal print!) Celebrating Reading in CTSD! Clinton Township School District celebrated a Week of Reading in March, bringing literacy to life across all schools in our district! The week featured a variety of literacy- f o c u s e d a c t i v i t i e s t h r o u g h o u t o u r schools. Students participated in special spirit days, dressing according to daily themes connected to beloved books and characters. Many classrooms welcomed "Mystery Readers" from our community who shared their favorite stories and inspired our young readers with their enthusiasm for literature. A highlight of the celebration was the "Nighttime Stories" event where district administrators transformed into storytellers for an evening. Families had the opportunity to attend these virtual events in pajamas ready for bedtime tales, creating a warm community atmosphere centered around the joy of reading. Students and staff also participated in the surprise "Drop Everything and Read" event, an exciting moment when regular activities paused across our schools, allowing everyone to immerse themselves in books. This fun event emphasized how reading can be incorporated into any part of our day. Through these shared experiences, we continue to build a culture where reading is valued not just as an academic skill, but as a lifelong source of enjoyment and discovery.
