Clinton Township Middle School Students in Mrs. Zaleski's "The Mission to Mars" class read the book "A Rover's Story" and learned about the history of exploration on Mars using rovers and drones. The class t h e n c r e a t e d t h e i r o w n r o v e r s o u t of cardboard, wheels, and other m a t e r i a l s a n d a l s o assembled small drones which they landed on top of the rovers using a remote control. It was a great combination of science, fun, and learning! T R E P $ i s a s t u d e n t e n t r e p r e n e u r program, where students create, market, and sell items at a Student Marketplace. This year we have 160 students participating, and they are creating many creative and unique items to sell. MARK YOUR CALENDAR for Tuesday, April 15, from 6:00-8:00 pm. Congratulations to all of our spelling bee finalists! Our school wide spelling bee was an exciting challenge! Shout out to our school champion, 7th Grader Gwyneth Ireland, who will go on to the regional spelling bee. In second place is the amazing Maddie Morman, an 8th grader. CLINTON TOWNSHIP PTA CLOTHING DRIVE 2025 WHEN: Friday, April 4, 3:00 pm-5:00 pm and Saturday, April 5, 9:00 am-1:00 pm. WHERE: Clinton Township Middle School, 34 Grayrock Road. ACCEPTED ITEMS: Clean, wearable clothing (men's, women's, and children's – any size/season), shoes, clothing accessories (belts, hats, scarves, gloves), handbags, household linens (sheets, towels, pillows), stuffed animals, strollers, bikes, small scooters. Small toys are accepted but they cannot exceed 24" and must be bagged. We cannot accept the following items: Quilts, comforters, pillows & blankets, CDs, DVDs, VCR, board games, books, puzzles, electronics & appliances, glass, home decor, sports & exercise equipment, pots/ pans, baby gear (highchairs, cribs, carseats), scooters (electrical), Bric and brac (picture frames, school supplies, phone cases, candles, cosmetics, gritting cards, plastic cups, food containers, baking accessories). Please bring all donations in well-tied plastic bags and ensure bags do not exceed 25lbs. Drive to the front entrance of the school and our volunteers will unload your donations for you. No need to even get out of your car! Tax receipts are available. The PTA earns money per pound of donated items. This is one of our biggest fundraisers. Proceeds from this event support educational programs, assemblies and other activities sponsored by the Clinton Township PTA. Donations are NOT shredded. Items collected go to A&E Clothing, a for-profit company that collects unwanted clothing and other items and resells them in the U.S. and other developing countries. By providing such services to non-profit organizations, they create jobs for people in the U.S. and abroad. They help local communities and economies in emerging countries as well as helping our country become greener and cleaner. Check out ClothingDrive.net for more information.
