(IGP) is pleased to announce that the 2025 Alexea G. Karpinski Memorial Scholarship application is now open for all graduating high school senior athletes who are current residents of New Jersey and enrolling full-time in an accredited undergraduate program/ school, technical/vocational training, or the military upon graduation in 2025. Submissions must be received by April 1. The scholarship award amount is $2,253 and the number of scholarships awarded will vary based upon the number of eligible applicants and funds available. Since 2022, Iron Girl Project has awarded 19 Alexea G. Karpinski Memorial Scholarships in the amount of $42,807 to high school student- athletes throughout New Jersey. The amount of the scholarship was chosen to reflect the jersey numbers Alexea wore at Hunterdon Central Regional High School, #22 for lacrosse and #53 for field hockey. Iron Girl Project, Inc. hosts three key fundraising events each year for the scholarship fund. This year, IGP will host the 5th Annual Laps for Lex 5K Run & 1M Walk to be held at Duke Island Park in Bridgewater on June 8, followed by the Links for Lex 4th Annual Golf Outing in October, and the virtual Flex for Lex Workout Circuit Challenge in November.
