Iron Girl Project, Inc. (IGP) is pleased to announce that the 2025
Alexea G. Karpinski Memorial Scholarship application is now open for all
graduating high school senior athletes who are current residents of New
Jersey and enrolling full-time in an accredited undergraduate program/
school, technical/vocational training, or the military upon graduation in
2025. Submissions must be received by April 1. The scholarship award
amount is $2,253 and the number of scholarships awarded will vary based
upon the number of eligible applicants and funds available.
Since 2022, Iron Girl Project has awarded 19 Alexea G. Karpinski
Memorial Scholarships in the amount of $42,807 to high school student-
athletes throughout New Jersey. The amount of the scholarship was chosen
to reflect the jersey numbers Alexea wore at Hunterdon Central Regional
High School, #22 for lacrosse and #53 for field hockey.
Iron Girl Project, Inc. hosts three key fundraising events each
year for the scholarship fund. This year, IGP will host the 5th Annual
Laps for Lex 5K Run & 1M Walk to be held at Duke Island Park in
Bridgewater on June 8, followed by the Links for Lex 4th Annual Golf
Outing in October, and the virtual Flex for Lex Workout Circuit
Challenge in November.
Scholarship eligibility requirements and applications, in addition to IGP's
Laps for Lex Race registration, sponsorship opportunities, and more
information can be found by visiting: www.IronGirlProject.org
