Spruce Run School
Spruce Run Preschool is studying all about roads and
buildings! Our preschoolers are exploring two fascinating studies -
"Roads" and "Buildings." Children are investigating different types of roads,
vehicles, and traffic signs in their community, as well as examining various
buildings and their purposes. Through hands-on activities, block play, and
creative projects, they'll develop early math, science, and literacy skills while
satisfying their natural curiosity about the world around them.
The PTA will be hosting a Bingo Night at Patrick McGaheran
on February 7. SRPS and PMG families are invited to attend!

This month our school will have the privilege of participating in
the Global School Play Day (GSPD). GSPD is a day dedicated
to reminding students of the importance of unstructured play. Play for
children at this age is fundamental to social learning, fostering creativity,
and allowing kids to just be kids. There are many benefits and necessities of
play, both in and out of the classroom. We will spend the day playing- inside
and outside, with other classes, with new friends and old friends! Students
will be encouraged to take ownership of their play. Our first experience with
the GSPD was in 2020 and it was a huge success!

Eighth grade students at CTMS have the
opportunity to join the Reading Buddies Club! In
this club, organized and run by Mrs. Prall (Teacher of the Year
Recipient), Ms. Dandeo, and Ms. Lin, CTMS students get together
during the day with Spruce Run School preschool students.
Together they select the books, the SRS students practice their
reading, and the CTMS students create a quick activity for the
preschoolers to work on after they read together. Fun for everyone!
CTMS Musical, Aladdin Jr! Join us
