Few exhibit the spirit of volunteerism and public service like Council President Marc Strauss, who will be leaving the Council after six years. Serving four years as Council President, Marc has also been an invaluable resource to the Council on Public Safety matters, bringing his experience as a retired Sergeant of the Clinton Township Police Department; former Township OEM Coordinator; and long time member, former Chief (2005-2008, 2012-2013) and current President of the Annandale Hose Company. It has been a pleasure to work alongside him, and we thank him for all he has contributed to our community. This holiday season, on behalf of the Council and the entire staff of Clinton Township, I would like to express our sincerest appreciation for the Township's staff and our many volunteers. I wish you all a wonderful holiday season and a Happy and Healthy New Year! – Brian Mullay, Mayor, Township of Clinton Mayor's Annual Township Message ... continued from page 3 "Keep on beginning and failing. Each time you fail, start all over again, and you will grow stronger until you have accomplished a purpose — not the one you began with perhaps, but one you'll be glad to remember." ~ Anne Sullivan "The first step towards geing somewhere is to decide you're not going to stay where you are." ~ J.P. Morgan t h e h u n t e r d o n A r t M u s e u M Through the arts, we express ourselves, explore ideas, and cultivate critical thinking and problem-solving. Art has the power to motivate us and turn thinking into doing, fueling innovation and leading to fresh ideas, scientific breakthroughs, and technological improvements. Art challenges us to reflect on ourselves and our society as a whole, while helping us think about new ideas, confront problems, and consider possibilities. In the midst of tragedy, art helps us heal, and it can also help us celebrate and commemorate. Art can have a purpose in and of itself; it can inspire, bring joy, or give solace. The Mission of the Hunterdon Art Museum is to engage people with contemporary art, craft, and design in ways that educate, challenge, and inspire. The Vision of the Hunterdon Art Museum will be an inclusive and essential community resource that fosters transformative experiences and enriches the lives of everyone through contemporary art exhibitions and programming. The Core Values of the Hunterdon Art Museum are: Inclusiveness, Accessibility and Creativity. Find out about our wonderful events, exhibitions and classes at: www.HunterdonArtMuseum.org.
