In those years, I have seen a hundred cases of "Disney" feet. "Disney" feet is what I call all of the foot conditions after people come back from Disney World in Florida, after being there for a week or more. People who travel to Orlando are most often going to a warmer climate, and their bodies need time to get used to it – so what ends up happening is that their feet tend to swell up more than usual. Additionally, most often people aren't used to walking or standing in line that many hours in a day, therefore, the combination of all that walking and hot weather causes a lot of foot problems, which may include arch pain, heel pain, and pain in the ball of the foot. Many of these are treated with rest and anti-inflammatories. Infected, ingrown toenails are also very common after a week in Disney – this condition usually requires a visit to the podiatrist. DR.
